The lottery official announced that the Friday, December 17th, 2021, Mega Millions drawing resulted in a carry over, creating an $171 million grand prize for the next drawing Tuesday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $124.6 million. The winning numbers from Friday, December 17th, 2021 drawing were 21-32-38-48-62 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier x3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 852 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky player from Maryland walked away with $189 million jackpot in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.

While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There was a single ticket that matched all 5 lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional major winners Friday evening included 10 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday night included 275 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. There were 798 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $150.

Mega Millions lottery can be played in 43 states and D.C. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from 1 to 56 then select a Mega Ball number from a set of 15. Each play costs $1.
