The Mega Millions jackpot is on the move again. The jackpot for the Friday, January 7th, 2022 drawing rises to $278 million with the cash option of $193 million. The numbers from Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 drawing were 04, 06, 16, 21, 22 and the Mega Ball was 01, Megaplier was 3. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 857 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 4 lucky players that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 4 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 34 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 863 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $150. There were 1880 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $150.

With nine prize levels, there were a total of 1,940,382 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 75 then choose 1 Mega Ball number from a set of 15. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $12 million. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly installments. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
