Big Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Tuesday night

The Mega Millions jackpot has been pumped up to an estimated 328,000,000 (cash option $186.3 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Tuesday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over because nobody matched all 5 white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number to take the 312,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, June 24th, 2022 drawing were 01, 07, 11, 25, 56 and the Mega Ball was 14, Megaplier was 2.

Although the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a single lucky ticket correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in won a quarter million dollar cash each.

In addition, 18 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other winners Friday evening included 708 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $150. Other prizes won included 1491 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $150.

With 9 different ways to win, there were a total of 1,627,508 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, June 24th, 2022 drawing.

Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and Washington DC. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from a set of 75 then pick a Mega Ball number from 1 to 15. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at $12,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout instead.
