The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $237 million

The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing was $220 million. According to Powerball, nobody hit every number and the jackpot built to a projected $237 million. The cash value will be $160.7 million. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, January 1st, 2020 were 49, 53, 57, 59, 62 and Powerball number was 26. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 17 draws since Wednesday, November 6th, 2019. A single lucky winner from California won the $150.00 million jackpot in Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 drawing.
Though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky ticket matched all five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in Missouri will collect $1 million cash.
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 12 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 399 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 80 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 1044 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 211 additional players not just matched 3+1, but additionally purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.

Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
