Saturday's Powerball jackpot increases to $104 million; 1 ticket won the second prize

The grand prize in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing jumped to $104 million for the Saturday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $84 million. None of the tickets sold for Wednesday's $95 million drawing matched 6 winning numbers. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, May 20th, 2020 were 18-34-40-42-50 with Power Ball number 09. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 28 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. A single lucky player from Michigan walked away with $70.00 million top prize in Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 drawing.
Though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was only one lucky ticket matched all five numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in Pennsylvania won $1,000,000 cash.
Also, 4 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 1 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 170 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 58 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 490 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $100. 142 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 different ways to win, there were a total of 423,119 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, May 20th, 2020 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play, which multiplies the winnings but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
