The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $216 million

There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball game - to $216 million. The cash value will be $168.4 million up for grab. The grand prize grew because no player matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Powerball number from Wednesday night's $202 million drawing. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, November 25th, 2020 were 02-57-58-60-65 and Powerball number was 26.
Although there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were a total of 21 3rd prize winning tickets. These included 18 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 283 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 80 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but in addition chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 800 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 176 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With nine prize tiers, there were 651,228 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 drawing.
Powerball is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, pick 5 numbers from a set of 59 and pick 1 Powerball number from 1 to 35. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play option, which increases the original winnings but not jackpot. The odds of winning are about 1 to 32. The odds of matching 6 Powerball numbers are about 1 in 175 million. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
There were 15,979 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Massachusetts.
