The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $272,000,000

Wednesday night's Powerball drawing has yielded no jackpot winner for the $248,000,000 grand prize. With no player hit all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Powerball , Saturday night's drawing is going to be worth a projected $272,000,000 for a single winner. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$124.4 million. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, February 26th, 2025 were 28, 48, 55, 60, 62 and Powerball was 20. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past seventeen draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. One lucky winner from OR walked away with 331,000,000 grand prize in Saturday, January 18th, 2025 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. A total of 11 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 8 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
In addition, 187 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 65 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 483 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 145 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 different ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 409,073 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/59 (white balls) + 1/35 (Powerballs) system to randomly choose winning numbers. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
