The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing soars to $258 million

The Powerball game jackpot has jumped up to an estimated $258 million (lump-sum cash payout $175.5 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over since no player matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to take the $237 million grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, January 4th, 2020 drawing were 01, 11, 21, 25, 54 and Powerball number was 07. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past eighteen draws since Wednesday, November 6th, 2019. One lucky winner from California won the $150.00 million grand prize in Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 drawing.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 3 lucky tickets matched all five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 3 second prize ticket(s) from Colorado(1), Florida(1) and Wisconsin(1) matched all 5 white ball numbers and also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
In addition, 26 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 7 additional players not just matched 4+1, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
