Without a jackpot winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over its grand prize to $97,000,000 for Tuesday night's drawing. The cash option stands at an estimated $$45 million up for grab. No player matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to win the $67,000,000 jackpot Friday. The next Mega Millions drawing will be at 10:59 PM Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Friday, April 5th, 2024 drawing were 20-30-54-63-65 with Mega Ball number 14 and Megaplier X3.

Even though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were 3 lucky players that correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA,FL,PA will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Also, 12 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other winners Friday evening included 260 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. There were 792 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $150.

With nine ways to win, there were a total of 1,331,824 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, April 5th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Around 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. To play, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 56 and select one Mega Ball number from 1 to 15. The overall chances of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 258 million. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is 12 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
