The multi-state Mega Millions jackpot has increased to $70,000,000 dollars after there was no jackpot winner in Friday's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$31.3 million. The numbers drawn Friday night, July 4th, 2025 were 17, 20, 24, 41, 42 with Mega Ball number 24 and Megaplier x. No one won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 29 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.

Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a single 2nd prize winner from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers except the Mega Ball number. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in GA, each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

Additional prizes won Friday evening included 6 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 99 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $150. Other prizes won included 323 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $150.

With nine ways to win, there were a total of 380,644 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, July 4th, 2025 drawing.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game sold in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prize winnings. Around 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 75 and choose one Mega Ball number from a set of 15. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $12 million. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
