The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $257 million

There were no tickets sold with all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number in the last multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw, and the projected grand prize for Tuesday's drawing will go to $257 million, lottery officials announced. The cash value stands at an estimated $175.9 million. The winning numbers drawn Friday night, April 16th, 2021 were 17, 27, 28, 50, 55 with Mega Ball 25 and Megaplier 4. The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 782 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky player from Maryland won the $189 million grand prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.

Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a single lucky winner correctly matched all five numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in , each won $250,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

In addition, 16 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. In addition, 444 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $150. Other prizes won included 1180 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $150.

With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 1,644,528 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, April 16th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record highest jackpot in United States lottery history.
