Huge Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Tuesday night

There were no tickets sold hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in the last multi-state Mega Millions draw, and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will leap to $345 million, according to lottery officials. The cash option will be an estimated $234.6 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Friday, April 30th, 2021 drawing were 08-19-26-48-49 and the Mega Ball was 05, Megaplier was 3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 786 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky winner from Maryland walked away with $189 million grand prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.

While there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were two lucky winners correctly matched all five lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in won $250,000 cash each.

Additional prizes won Friday evening included 25 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other winners Friday evening included 618 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $150. 1629 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $150.

With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 2,191,214 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, April 30th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record biggest jackpot of $656 million in U.S. lottery history. To play, select 5 numbers from 1 to 56 then choose one Mega Ball number from a set of 15. The chances of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The odds of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 258 million. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $12 million. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
