With no winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot is going to be worth a projected 785,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $395 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Tuesday. The amount carried over since nobody matched all six numbers to win the 685,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The numbers from Friday night, December 30th, 2022 were 01-03-06-44-51 and the Mega Ball was 07, Megaplier was 3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 960 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.One lucky winner from Maryland won the $189 million grand prize in Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 drawing.

Even though the grand prize was not hit Friday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There was a single lucky winner matched the first five lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) purchased in OH, each won $250,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

Other prizes won Friday night included 82 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday night included 1546 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. 5172 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $150.

With nine prize levels, there were 6,569,094 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, December 30th, 2022 drawing.

Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. sold in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prize winnings. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. The chances of winning Mega Millions grand prize are 1 to 258,890,850. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $12,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual installments. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
