The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $541,000,000

The Mega Millions multi-state lottery grand prize built to $541,000,000 (cash value $$257.6 million) Tuesday night when there were no top prize winners in the $514,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Friday, November 29th, 2024 drawing were 03, 29, 34, 37, 38 and the Mega Ball was 17, Megaplier was 2.

Even though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a sole lucky player that matched the first five numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) bought in OR, each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

Additional prizes won Friday night included 16 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional winners Friday evening included 414 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $150. Other prizes won included 1164 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $150.

With nine prize tiers, there were 1,708,112 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, November 29th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. On average, 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Around 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. To play Mega Millions, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 56 then pick a Mega Ball number from 1 to 15. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $12 million. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual payments. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
