Mass Powerball lottery News and Payout for Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 Drawing
The grand prize in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing climbed to $149,000,000 for the Saturday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be a projected $$68.8 million. No ticket sold for Wednesday's $129,000,000 drawing matched five lotto numbers and the Powerball number. The winning numbers from Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 drawing were 02, 20, 22, 26, 47 and Powerball number was 21. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for eight draws since Monday, April 8th, 2024. One lucky winner from OR won the 1,300,000,000 top prize in Saturday, April 6th, 2024 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. A total of 13 lucky players won the third prize with or without Power Play option. These included 8 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000.
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 275 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 85 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 525 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 214 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With 9 different prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing created 412,365 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball uses a 5/59 (white balls) + 1/35 (Powerballs) matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
