Powerball jackpot rolls up to 147,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

The Powerball grand prize has been pumped up to a projected 147,000,000 (cash value $79.5 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Saturday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over because no player matched all five lotto numbers plus the Powerball number to take the 132,000,000 jackpot Wednesday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday, March 29th, 2023 drawing were 04-09-24-46-66 with Power Ball number 07.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was only one lucky player that correctly matched the first five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in South Dakota won 1 million dollar cash.
Also, 9 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 4 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 176 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 58 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 545 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 226 additional players not just matched 3+1, but also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the winnings to $200 cash each ticket.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 426,312 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
