The grand prize in America's favorite Powerball lottery game continues to go up exciting players all across the country. Because no one correctly matched all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number in Saturday's drawing the grand prize will jump to an estimated 87,000,000! The cash value stands at a projected $46.8 million. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, May 3rd, 2023 were 21, 26, 30, 45, 47 and Powerball number was 23. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past 286 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
While there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. 9 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. 3 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
In addition, 167 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 43 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 410 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Powerball and won $100. 152 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.

To play Powerball, pick 5 numbers from 1 to 59 then pick a Powerball number from a set of 35. The odds of winning are about 1 to 32. The chances of matching all six Powerball numbers are about 1 in 175 million. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
