No one won the jackpot last night. Saturday's Powerball jackpot builds to $220,000,000

With no winner in the latest draw, the Powerball grand prize will be worth $220,000,000 (cash option $$101.2 million) the next time the multistate lottery is drawn on Saturday. The amount rolled over because no one matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $196,000,000 grand prize Wednesday night. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, November 8th, 2023 were 14, 21, 33, 39, 62 with Power Ball 20. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past twelve draws since Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in California, matched all six numbers for a 1,730,000,000 top prize.
Even though the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. A total of 12 lucky players won the third prize. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
In addition, 213 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 84 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 492 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 149 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With 9 different prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing created 433,917 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball lottery uses a 5/59+1/35 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Power Play, which increases the original prizes but not grand prize. The odds of winning are about 1 to 32. The chances of winning Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 175 million. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments. Winners can select one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
